Halloween Anthology

Some comic friends and I are putting together a Halloween anthology to show at NY Comic Con. Here's some thumbnails I did for my story. It's based off a tale I heard while in Cambodia.

Bear and Turtle

I love my parents and their many colorful idiosyncrasies. They're an old school Jewish couple from New York who have been married for over 30 years and who love to nag each other to show their affection. It's hilarious and endearing, and even though I want to run and hide every time they argue in public, when I think back, my eyes well up to know they can't keep my company forever.

That's why I decided to draw a little cartoon to some of their conversations. And this may sound bizarre, but sometimes my mom reminds me of a turtle; her posture, demeanor, her passive aggressive nature. And my dad takes after an old bear. He's stubborn and immovable. Hahaha, it's true! I love them so much!
